Quality of life issues for vulnerable groups with long-term health needs.
The Mental Health group’s research involves looking at current provision of services for young people with dementia in four local NHS trusts. The development, implementation and evaluation of an assessment tool for substance misuse is also being studied.
Research in this area includes a particular focus on the prevention of pressure injury in children. Other projects include women’s choices in childbirth and clinical decision making by children’s nurses.
