About the Care Sciences Research Unit

The Care Sciences Research Unit (CSRU) forms part of the Centre for Research and Innovation in Care Sciences, based at the University’s Glyntaff Campus. The CSRU is a world-class facility that acts as a national and international hub.

Our activity is focused on international service design & configuration developments which produce innovative solutions that advance the provision of healthcare. We have a very successful record of translational research which goes from ‘bench to bedside’. We take a strategic approach which addresses practice, education and simulation (Simulation Centre).

Along with our partner healthcare organisations in Wales, the UK and beyond, we carry out dynamic research and development work in higher education institutions (HEI), health care practice settings (in institutions or community), austere health need environments and in simulated practice.
